Lux WMN Magazine Launch Party

We are so excited to share with you that on Wednesday, December 4th we hosted the official launch party of our new venture, LUX WMN magazine. A magazine for women who mean business. We know that businesswomen come in all shapes and sizes and the definition of a ‘boss lady’ now appears in so many different forms, LUX WMN celebrates them all.

Against the backdrop of Raiffeisen’s impressive ‘indoor garden’ in their Leudelange headquarters, DJ Miss MAD (runner up of Best DJ in Luxembourg, 2017) set the scene for us with chilled beats as the drinks and food started flowing. Despite selling out all 150 tickets the team still had first night nerves but as soon as familiar and new faces showed up beaming and eager to show support we knew that we were all rooting for the same cause.

It has been long overdue that the women who have been doing great things in the Grand Duchy can see and be seen for their talents, efforts and community spirit.

For this momentous gathering of great women, we were proud to have photographer Dominika Montenen-Koivisto on hand to capture all our moments. Though to many, it may seem like a small step to host a launch party like this. This might be true of the event itself but everything from the actual publication of the first issue of LUX WMN to the party itself is a major step for us.

It’s the first English magazine in Luxembourg made for businesswomen by businesswomen. It is for this reason that we have a LUX WMN Membership which not only includes issues delivered to your door for the next year but it also gives you free access to any of our upcoming events. LUX WMN is more than just a magazine, it is a community of strong, fearless women who are ready for more. Our time is here and we want to make the most of it.Whilst our editorial team is incredibly proud to be working on this project, we are even more proud of the faces who showed up.Founder and Publisher Amanda Roberts was extremely grateful and was quick to thank the contributors and brands who made the first issue happen and spoke enthusiastically about the LUX WMN team; which is ever growing. There was a special mention to Raiffeisen bank, “to whom this event or even this magazine would not be possible if it were not for their support.”

Radio Presenter Marina Lai-Lentz hosted the pub quiz and took the opportunity to thank the men who showed up at the event. “We cannot do this alone, we cannot simply be women supporting women, we are people supporting women. So thank you for showing up for us.”

What better way to live by our motto that ‘empowered women empower women’ than to have all our favourite women under one roof; mingling and testing their knowledge!

So we put together a feminist pub quiz for some brain-teasing networking. We were pleased to say that our readers did not let us down and the atmosphere was a solid 10 out of 10. Everyone got stuck in and mingled with one another. Let’s just say there was some stiff competition for the title of ‘Most Woke Team’! The rest of the evening consisted of more exclusive giveaways in a highly anticipated raffle and we were happy to see so many membership subscriptions at the end of the evening! We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who was a part of this event and more importantly to anyone who has purchased the magazine. If you too are interested in not just supporting the magazine but being a part of this empowered community, please head over to our online store to purchase your membership. Special thanks to our partners and sponsors: Raiffeisen, DJ Miss MAD, Dominika Photography, Vol(t)age- wardrobe therapy, Prisma, HiitMe Group Fitness Classes, Spa Escape, Centro Hair Salon, Barrels, Distillerie Artisanale du Musée, PhotoMobile.lu, Philharmonie and Bofferding
