Chiche! Chadi's Falafel Pop-Up
Many loyal Middle Eastern food lovers panicked when they heard that Syriously would be closing and I was absolutely gutted too. I have always found Middle Eastern food so comforting, I'm not sure if it's all the delicious dips with the pitta breads or the falafels and then chicken shwarma combos but nothing makes me feel cosier than food like this. So I was delighted to hear that Chadi would be opening up a falafel pop-up right next door! I did think at first that it would only be serving falefel...but how wrong I was! The menu does still have some all-time favourites. But as the name suggests, the falafels were the best. You are given a falafel each as a complimentary amuse bouches before you order, and may I say that the falafels really are very fresh. Rumour has it that they are always made fresh without exception and they would rather keep you waiting a little bit longer to ensure every customer gets fresh ones.
It is a shame not too see chicken shwarma and other classics on the menu, it is quite a small menu and we can't wait until they start adding more options to it!
Editor's note:Thanks to my friend Geeta who introduced me to the Baklava, I've now discovered something truly magical for my tastebuds. You absolutely MUST try the baklava, it is the most delicious baklava I have ever tasted and I don't even like it usually! It is perfect with sips of their fresh mint tea...Mmmm! Can't wait to go back! Reserve your table here on their easy-to-use online reservations system! More restaurants in Lux should use this system, it was so convenient!UPDATE!I've now been informed that their menu features chicken shwarma now, can't wait to go back and try.
